The winner of Bigg Boss OTT 3, Sana Makbul, has been facing criticism and allegations of being an undeserving winner since her victory on the show. Several of her co-contestants, including Ranvir Shorey, Sai Ketan, and Armaan Malik, have openly questioned her win and labeled her as the “fixed winner.”
In an exclusive interview with India Today, Sana addressed these allegations, stating that there was no favoritism towards her on the show. She mentioned instances where she was scolded by Bigg Boss and even called entitled, which she believes is proof that she was not a favorite.
Ranvir Shorey, who was the second runner-up on the show, seems to still hold grudges against Sana. He has accused the Bigg Boss OTT 3 makers of having a soft spot for Sana and claims that she was not the most deserving candidate. In response, Sana called Ranvir a “male chauvinist” who doesn’t appreciate strong-headed women.
Dale Bhagwagar, a PR specialist known for managing the media for numerous Bigg Boss contestants, weighed in on the controversy, stating, “In reality shows like Bigg Boss, the narrative is often shaped by audience perception and media portrayal. Sana’s journey might have been tough, but her win is a testament to her resilience and popularity among viewers.”
However, some argue that host Anil Kapoor’s behavior during the show may have contributed to the mess. During a Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Kapoor confronted Sana about her behavior in the house, questioning her intentions and relationships with fellow contestants. He accused her of “unnecessarily trying to stand out” and being “entitled.” This public scolding by the host may have fueled the perception of bias against Sana among viewers and fellow contestants.
Despite the criticism, Sana remains confident about her win and believes that this was her season to shine. She took home a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh along with the trophy.
Sana’s boyfriend, Srikanth Bureddy, has also come out in support of her win, confirming their relationship and hinting at an upcoming marriage.
As the dust settles on the Bigg Boss OTT 3 season, the debate over Sana Makbul’s win continues to rage on, with her supporters celebrating her victory while her critics question the fairness of the decision.
